NDIS Plan Management is a service available within the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) in Australia. It focuses on the financial administration and coordination of an individual’s NDIS plan.
Plan Management is provided at no cost to participants. Funding for this service is included in the NDIS Plan and does not detract from any other funding included in an NDIS plan.
No, you have a choice. When you are Plan Managed, you have the option of using NDIS registered or non-NDIS registered providers.
NDIS Plan Management services assist with the financial administration of an NDIS plan, such as paying someone’s NDIS provider bills, keeping an invoice record, assisting with funding questions, and more.
NDIS Support Coordination helps participants develop the skills they need to understand, implement, and use their NDIS plan. A support coordinator assists with planning and recruiting disability support providers. An NDIS Plan Manager does not assist with the implementation of supports in the same way that an NDIS Support Coordinator does.
When you are on an NDIS Plan, providers cannot charge you more than the price limits set by the NDIS Price Guide. The cost of each disability support service varies. If you have any questions about the price guide, our helpful staff is always available to assist you.
Anyone can have NDIS Plan Management included in their plan and there is no cost involved. You don’t need to wait for a plan review meeting if you want to switch to NDIS Plan Management.
You can request this change at any time by simply contacting your Local Area Coordinator (LAC) or Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI) or contact the NDIS on 1800 800 110 and make a request for your funding management to be changed to NDIS Plan Management.
